~Author’s Notes~
Disclaimer: This is purely fan-made. If I ever owned Grand Chase, I would have made this the story line.
I’ve wrote this fanfic on third person omniscient perspective. MyrO is my co-author. This fanfic is also the work of our role-play last Feb 11.

~Prologue~
The night was drawing to a close. Oddly enough, a room was still lit on the Serdin Kingdom’s Grand Chase Hall. Three people’s silhouettes were seen inside...
“I give you this mission because I completely trust you two. Even if they ask, don’t tell them about this mission. Do you get it?” Knight Master said to two people.
“…yes, Knight Master,” said the two and went out.
---------------
“Hey… do you really think we should keep this secret?” one of the two asked.
“We have to… we gave a knight’s promise,” the other answered, “Let’s just do everything we can to get this mission finished. We’ll tell them once we do.”
~Chapter 1~
The Knight Master gave a mission to the Grand Chase team. Search and punish the traitor: Elena.
The Grand Chase team, especially Arme, had a hard time contemplating the mission.
“High priest… Elena… traitor…?” was all Arme could muster.
Elesis put a hand on Arme’s shoulder. Even though she was a Kanavan Knight, it didn’t mean she doesn’t know Elena. They always went to Elena to have their accessories upgraded. Even though sometimes, it fails miserably.
Arme knew… Elena wouldn’t just do things like this. There had to be a reason for a nature-loving high priest at Elena’s caliber to become a traitor. She had to know, that’s why she accepted the mission. She didn’t really plan to kill her, she just wanted answers. She hoped that the others shared the same thoughts as her.
----------
They traveled onto Ellia Continent. Having to go where Partusay, the God of sea was, they had to fight.
‘I always have hard time thinking about why Gods like Partusay sided with Kaze’aze,’ thought one of the GC team.
As they fought the monsters, Ronan had noticed something was keeping an eye on them. He didn’t like that at all. Not one bit.
They had wounded or destroyed parts of Partusay. They didn’t want to kill one of the Gods that governed their planet.
--------------
They had passed Partusay Sea. As they were off onto dry land, Ronan told them what he had felt. Elesis immediately turned to look at Ronan with a surprised face.
“So… it really is true…” she whispered but Ronan caught it.
“What’s true, Elesis?” Ronan asked.
A sweat bead trailed down Elesis’ face. Ronan noticed this and said, “Alright, you don’t need to answer it. I’m sure it’s top secret.” Ronan turned to look at where they were going. They were fast approaching their destination.
~Chapter 2~
“I-it’s not top secret Ronan!” Elesis said. “It’s just… I felt something back there too.”
“I see… well, what should we do?” Ronan asked the group.
“We should get to High Priest Elena first!” Arme exclaimed.
The other three looked at her. “Arme’s right. We need to finish the mission first,” Elesis said.
It was already night time. The group rested on the outskirts of Ellia Continent.
----------
Continuing the pursuit of the traitor Elena, they had gone inside. They killed several anmon soldiers as they tried to stop them.
Finally getting to the supposed lair of the traitor….
“I could feel a lot of magic on the other side of this portal…” Arme told us.
“High priest Elena must be here then,” Elesis said, “Let’s go guys… the sooner we go, the sooner we could stop her bringing chaos.”
----------
“Why high priest Elena? Why did you side with Kaze’aze? She plans to destroy everything!” Arme asked the priest with tears in her eyes.
“You filthy humans don’t understand what nature had to endure just because of your stupid desires,” Elena… or rather Kamiki told the GC team just before Ronan’s Lunetic Force hit her. It was the end of her…. It was a sad death for someone who had helped the Grand Chase. One of the GC team went near her corpse while the others went out of the dungeon…
“Why… did you stay…?” Elena said weakly. She didn’t have enough time before she dies.
“I can’t stand it…. I really need to know what Kaze’aze’s goal is. Please tell me.”
“Lady… Kaze’aze… wants….” Elena whispered something to the GC team member. The only thing that person could do was stare wide-eyed at the fallen Elena as though contemplating whether or not believing what she had said.
----------
“Hey! Where did you go? We were looking for you! I thought Kaze’aze captured you!” Elesis said worriedly.
“I’m ok… I just... went to say goodbye to her.”
“I see… I should have given my respect when I could….”
“What do we do now?” Ronan said, changing the subject before everyone broke down into tears.
“Let’s look for what Ronan and I sensed earlier at the Partusay’s Sea,” Elesis said casually.
“I suggest we separate into two groups,” Lire told the group. “It would be better if one of you, who could ‘sense’ something, come into one group. I’ll be with Elesis. Ronan you be with Arme.”
“I’m ok with that grouping. What about you guys?” Elesis asked Arme and Ronan. They both nodded.
“I’m ok with it,” Arme and Ronan said in unison.
“Well… let’s get going. Since I also have an errand … I need to go to Xenia. You guys can go look around here on Ellia. Don’t even come back dead alright? See you guys on Serdin!” Elesis said while waving her hand. Lire followed behind her.
----------------
“Arme… where should we go to now?” Ronan asked.
Suddenly, the sky went dark red. Everything was covered in the stench of death.
“N-no way…” Arme said.
Gardosen suddenly appears behind Ronan, startling him and Arme. Gardosen quickly grabs Ronan and disappeared. Arme was too shocked to move. Why did the God of Hell come out just to take Ronan?
